Afternoon live-out nanny
London, NW2 - Willesden.
£15+ net per hour.
Mid-August 2023.
We are looking for a permanent, sole charge, live-out nanny to care for two children, a 6-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and have a good understanding of French due to the children's heritage. The children attend an international Lycée, and the nanny will be responsible for their well-being and care during afterschool hours.
Responsibilities:
- Collect both children from school at 3.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 3.05pm on Fridays.
- Safely transport the children home or to their after-school activities as required.
- Provide nutritious meals/snacks for the children.
- Engage the children in educational activities, arts & crafts, reading, and playing games.
- Arrange and supervise outdoor activities, such as visits to the park or playground.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the children's bedrooms and play areas.
- Perform light to medium housekeeping duties, including tidying, laundry, cooking, ironing.
- Assist with homework, as applicable.
- Supervise playdates, as applicable.
- Administer medicine with parents' consent, as applicable.
- Accompany children to appointments, on an ad-hoc basis.
- Plan and organize outings and activities during school holidays.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
- Possibility of working full-time during school holidays (8.30am to 6pm).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prior experience working as a nanny or in a childcare role.
- Fluent in English and proficient in French. Consideration given to alternative second languages (e.g., Spanish/Italian), but French is preferable.
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
